1. Cleaning:
   • Gentle Washing: Wash the flag using a mild detergent to prevent fading. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that can damage the colours.
   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, opt for a gentle cycle with cold water. Place the flag in a mesh laundry bag to protect it from snagging.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to dry naturally. Avoid tumble drying, as high heat may cause the fabric to shrink or deteriorate.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from moisture to prevent any damage.
3. Folding the Monaco Flag:
   • Lay the flag flat: Start by placing the flag on a clean, flat surface to ensure even folding. Smooth out any wrinkles or creases for a neat start.
   • Fold in half lengthwise: Bring the two shorter edges of the flag together, folding it lengthwise with the red section on the outside. Make sure the edges are aligned neatly.
   • Fold again lengthwise: Fold the flag in half once more, lengthwise, this time with the red side still facing out. Ensure the edges are smooth and aligned for a uniform fold.
   • Fold into thirds: Starting at one end, fold the flag in thirds, ensuring each fold is even. The result should be a long, narrow strip of the flag.
   • Final fold into a rectangle: Carefully fold the strip into a compact, rectangular shape. Ensure all edges are aligned and there are no sharp creases.
   • Store carefully: Once folded, store the flag in a dry, cool place. Avoid placing heavy items on top to maintain its shape.
4. Handling:
   • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the flag away from sharp objects or rough surfaces that may cause snags, tears, or damage.

• Raising the Flag

  • When raising the Monaco flag, do so briskly and with respect. Ensure it is hoisted smoothly and without any twists.
  • The flag should always be lifted to the top of the pole unless it is to be displayed at half-mast.
• Displaying the Flag
