2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing. Keep it in a cool, dry place to maintain its condition.
3. Folding the Afghanistan Flag:
   • Lay the flag on a clean, flat surface, ensuring it is free of wrinkles and debris. Smooth out any creases to ensure an even fold.
   • Fold the flag lengthwise in half, bringing the bottom edge up to meet the top edge. Align the edges carefully to maintain a straight and even fold.
   • Fold the flag lengthwise again, bringing the left edge over to meet the right edge. Ensure the edges align neatly and press down to smooth out the fold.
   • You should now have a long, narrow strip of flag. Adjust and smooth it to keep it as flat as possible.
   • Start folding from one end of the narrow strip, folding it in sections about 12 to 15 cm wide. Continue folding in this manner until you reach the end of the strip. Ensure each fold is neat and aligned with the previous one.
   • Once folded into a compact rectangle, smooth out any remaining wrinkles. Ensure the flag is folded neatly and that all edges are aligned for a polished appearance.
4. Handling:
   • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the product away from sharp objects and surfaces to avoid snags, tears, or abrasions.
   • Secure Installation: Ensure the flag is properly hoisted and free from obstructions.
   • Flag Exposure: Minimise exposure to harsh weather by taking the flag down during severe weather conditions or in the evening.
5. Repairs:
   • Minor Repairs: For small tears or fraying, replace the flag with a spare and consult a seamstress for professional repairs.
   • Replacement: As the flag shows signs of wear, consider ordering a new one to ensure it remains vibrant and suitable for displays.

Flying the Afghanistan Flag:

• Raising the Flag:

  • Raise the flag at sunrise and lower it at sunset. If displayed at night, ensure it is properly illuminated. Avoid leaving the flag up in darkness without adequate lighting.
  • Lower the flag slowly and ceremoniously at sunset, ensuring it does not touch the ground.
• Weather Conditions:
  • Check the weather before flying the flag. Take it down during severe weather conditions like high winds or heavy rain to prevent damage.
  • Allow the flag to dry completely if it becomes wet before raising it again, preserving its vibrant appearance.
• Retirement of the Flag:
  • Retire the flag with respect when it becomes worn, torn, or faded. Options include ceremonial burning or burial; never discard it in general waste.
