Available Sizes & Finishes

Our Australian National Flags are available in multiple standard sizes, ranging from 900 × 450mm to 3600 × 1800mm.

The popular 1800 × 900mm size is commonly selected for 6m outdoor flagpoles, while smaller flags are suitable for compact displays and indoor presentation poles.

Choose from two standard finishes:

• Header with Loops: Reinforced loops with sister clips, suitable for traditional outdoor flagpole attachment.
• Vertical Sleeve: A sewn pocket for indoor presentation poles up to 28mm in diameter. Custom sleeves for poles up to 32mm can be arranged.

Our Australian National Flag is proudly made in Melbourne and available in three material options: Printed Trilobal Polyester, Woven Polyester and traditional Fully Sewn construction. Each provides a different combination of fabric weight, appearance and craftsmanship to suit your display requirements.

Available Finishes

Header with Loops

Reinforced loops with sister clips provide a secure and practical way to attach the Australian flag to a rope or halyard system. This is the standard choice for traditional outdoor flagpoles.

Vertical Sleeve

A neatly sewn sleeve along the flag's side allows it to slide over compatible presentation poles up to 28mm in diameter. Ideal for indoor displays, schools, offices and ceremonial settings. For a different sleeve diameter, contact Evan Evans.

Materials and Construction

Printed Trilobal Polyester

A lightweight knitted polyester fabric with vibrant printed colours and a flexible construction that allows the flag to move freely in the breeze. A practical and economical choice for everyday indoor and outdoor display, including homes, schools, businesses and community organisations.

Woven Polyester

A tightly woven polyester fabric with a firmer, more structured feel than knitted Trilobal. Its robust construction makes it an excellent option for regular outdoor displays at businesses, schools, government buildings and other established flagpole locations.

Fully Sewn Australian Flag

Our premium traditional construction features individually cut and sewn fabric elements, including the Union Jack and stars. This labour-intensive process produces a distinctive textile finish and reflects the craftsmanship of traditional flag manufacturing. Particularly suited to ceremonial displays, government institutions, schools and customers seeking a premium Australian flag.

Choosing Your Finish

Header with Loops is recommended for outdoor flagpoles with a rope or halyard system. Vertical Sleeve is designed for compatible indoor presentation poles where a clean, streamlined display is preferred.

Flagpoles and display bases are sold separately unless otherwise specified.

Hemmed Edges

Our flags feature sewn and finished edges to help reduce fraying and maintain a neat appearance during display. Finishing construction varies according to the selected material and attachment method.

Australian Flag Care & Maintenance

Proper care can help extend the life of your Australian National Flag, maintain its appearance and reduce premature wear.

Cleaning Your Flag

• Fully Sewn: Gently hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Avoid harsh rubbing or wringing to protect sewn elements and stitching.
• Trilobal Polyester: Gently hand wash using cold water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
• Woven Polyester: Hand wash with cold water and mild detergent. Avoid excessive rubbing and twisting of the fabric.

Important: Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals or tumble dryers. Avoid ironing printed flag materials. For specialist fabrics or heavily stained flags, contact our team before cleaning.

Outdoor Flag Care

• Lower your flag during storms, severe winds or extreme weather where practical.
• Ensure the flag flies freely without rubbing against trees, buildings or other obstacles.
• Inspect the flag regularly for fading, loose stitching and frayed edges.
• Consider rotating between two flags if your flagpole is used daily.
• Replace flags that have become excessively faded, torn or damaged.

Storage

• Ensure your flag is completely dry before folding or storing.
• Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Fold neatly to minimise creasing and protect the fabric.

Production Time

This product is generally produced within 5-7 business days. This timeframe begins once your order is ready for production, meaning payment has been received and any required artwork or product specifications have been confirmed. Production times may vary depending on the quantity, stock availability and current production schedule.

Please note: production time does not include courier transit time. Please allow additional time for delivery, particularly for regional or remote locations.

Australia-Wide Shipping & Freight

Evan Evans delivers Australia-wide, including metropolitan, regional and remote locations. Shipping is calculated at checkout where available and may vary depending on the delivery location, product size, order weight and courier requirements.

Some larger, bulky, oversized or custom products may require a manual freight quote, especially for regional, remote or multi-carton deliveries. If freight needs to be confirmed, our team will contact you before production or dispatch.

Courier Options

We ship Australia-wide using our trusted courier partners and have access to multiple courier accounts. If you would like to discuss a different courier option, use your own courier account, or organise your own freight collection, please contact us before placing your order.

Pickup

Pickup may be available from our Coburg North facility by prior arrangement only. Please call us first to confirm your order is complete and ready for collection.
